How does one become a flamingo?

I have decided to create a flamingo colony to avoid the restraints put upon members of society. Sadly, I can't start my own colony and must blend in with another flamingo colony. This is a problem considering the fact that I am a human. What shall I do to begin the metamorphosis into a flamingo?
