What tips do you have for becoming head boy/girl?

So it's less than a year now until head boy/girl gets picked from our year and i'm really enthusiastic about being it. The problem is that i'm not the obvious choice. I would like to know any good interviewing tips or things to get involved in that would really make me stand out against the others. I'm already involved in credit union, eco group, hockey, duke of edinburgh, organising the careers convention and library volunteering- all in school. My grades are good, not the best but they're still all a good level. I've also received 4 endeavour awards for my hard work since starting the school. I've got ideas on what i would like to change within the school and everything but i feel like i just need some tips on how to let the staff know i'm going to be the right choice. Our head boys/girls are picked by staff and senior management. Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it :)
