Where to stay in Vegas?

I need some help trying to figure out which hotel to stay at in Vegas. I am 27 and my husband will be 30 (we are going for his birthday). Anyway, last time we went we stayed at TI. We were considering staying there again but they charge $22 in resort fees. Our choices are (mainly because of price) Flamingo, Paris, or TI, if we can get it cheap enough where the resort fee doesn't seem to reflex a more expensive hotel. Otherwise if you have any other hotel that you would recommend. Is the Flamingo as old/dirty as people say it is? We are planning to go the 3rd weekend in October. Thanks!
