Fmla denial help please!!!!?
I had an active FMLA application that was approved in 02/10 and I didn't use all of my 480 hours. That September in 2010 I was laid off until Jan.2011. Upon arrival at my company when I was called back from layoff I asked the HR director if my FMLA was still valid. I was told that I had to work 1250 hours before I would be eligible to get it back. I know that the federal form for FMLA states that it is valid for one year. Am I correct in thinking that I have been given the shaft here? I have been with this company for 12 years. Is there any recourse that I may be entitled to through FMLA?
