What type of attorney would I hire to sue a company that did not provide the service I paid for?
I rented a car through a popular online travel company, Hotwire.com. EVERYTHING was told to the representative and he said it was fine, and asked if he could book the rental. When I get to the car rental company, they said I could not rent a vehicle from them because I did not have a major credit card or a round trip ticket, which the Hotwire customer svc rep was well aware of both because I double asked him and he told me I could. Hotwire kept telling me "all sales final" and would not refund my money. Then Hotwire called the car rental and was told I was denied the vehicle. At this point they offered me a credit of my $50.00 BUT they had to RE-BOOK it at retail price at my choice of places. I think they intentionally took my money knowing I would not get a rental car. Do I have any recourse? I went through a lot of hassle, aggravation and tears. I drove a long way just to get to the rental car company, having to deal with an airport. Do I have any recourse for money back and pain and suffering or am I out of luck other than small claims, as I wouldn't even know where to start with an online company that large.
Would I seem like a jerk if....?
yeah you would, show interest in them both and see which one you attract the most then if it doesnt work wait at least a week then go for the other.

What is the law regarding salvage vehicles from private sellers in California?
I recently purchased a car from a private seller, who never disclosed that the car was a salvage vehicle, even showing me a clean title (which as I would understand it, is fraud). I now find out that the car will require hundreds of dollars worth of repairs in order to both pass the light and break inspection required for salvage vehicles, and for some other damage directly related to the accident I was not informed of. Do I have any recourse?
Victims rights against a man declared innocent by reason of insanity?
Typically restraining orders are granted in cases of stalking, domestic abuse, and harassment. Here is a law article on taking out a restraining order: a href="http://www.slaterkennon.com/articles/getting-a-restraining-order/" rel="nofollow"http://www.slaterkennon.com/articles/get…/a It may not be instantly easy as the man has not directly threatened you, but considering the back story, I am sure it is possible.
Sneaking somebody to a las vegas hotel room?
It will be 5 of us staying at the flamingo hotel and casino. But we want to sneak in a friend because they only allow 4 people per room. They have cameras around the halls but they have thousands of rooms so will we get caught sneaking in my friend. And what happens if we get caught?
Can I sue my landlord for a false negative reference?
My two year lease is up at the end of this month. It is a fixed term lease in Missouri. Missouri statute states that no notice is required of the tenant or landlord for a fixed term lease. The law also states that if a tenant does occupy the property after the lease expiration date, the landlord may charge double the rent for those months. We found a new home for our family, and everything was going well until the property manager of the new rental called my current landlord to inquire about my tenancy. I have paid rent on time every month and have maintained the property, The landlord advised the new property manager that she required 30 days notice and that I had not provided that. The property manager told me this. The landlord also called and told me this. She told me she would not give back her security deposit. I told her I would cancel the professional cleaning and professional carpet cleaning if she tried to withhold my deposit. She then called the property manager and told him that I made threats against the property. The property manager declined our rental and advised that the negative reference by the landlord was the primary reason. We do not have a backup property. We will probably NEVER find the deal we got again. This landlord caused significant damage to my family and has sabotaged our oportunity. I had taken time off of work to move, and I start a new position in my company on 6/1 and will be unable to take time off again for at least 3 months. I have written and tried to reason with the landlord, but she is betting that I will not take action. What recourse do I have? Please help!
